Here is the World's greatest entertainer Al Jolson (1886-1950) Singing "Snap Your Fingers" composed by Von Tilzer on a Victor 78rpm record from 1912 . This song was recorded during his first recording session with Victor, he later signed on with Columbia in the early 19teens and later with Brunswick in the early 1920's. The Gramophone is a 1905 Victor Type II with a black and brass bell horn.

  • What is the difference between the victor l ll and lll? Is there a different amount of springs? Sounds good!

    Thanks

  • Oh, yeah, great video! Five stars!

  • Funny, I have both 33 1/3 and 45 rpm records, but I've never come across a 78 rpm nor 16 rpm record.

  • Beautiful gramophone you have there! Love the horn!

  • THIS IS AMAZING. It's 1912 again!
