  • Hello, yes, I use Cadmium Bromide (CdBr). The Potassium Bromide will work, too. No problem.

You may want to run the math on the 10% Collodion - I'm not sure if that is total assay?

You'll probably be fine with the normal quantities of salts and solvents. Good luck! I hope you have great results!

  • Quinn, Im extremely thankfull that u show these videos to the comunity, and share the secrets of this beautiful art...

Can i ask what do u use as your other salt on these collodion batchs?? Is it Cadmium Bromide?.

Down here in Argentina Cadmium its almost impossible to buy and extremely expensive. Im about to try the Potassium Bromide + Potassium iodide mixture. The collodion glass comes at 10% collodion... Letting it rest for some days, getting clear.. Any advices?? Thanks a lot!

  • Hi.

Where do you get the chemicals you need to make the collodion solutions?

I can only find a couple online. I'm in Australia but will import from overseas if that's what I need to do.

    Thanks.
