A TRUE STORY: A good friend that shares my love of pets and animals was called by a neighbor after last springs storm of 2006. She had advised "Joe" that a tall palm tree was blown or cut down due to damage. That evening she had heard high pitched squeels or cries similar to a new litter of kittens crying for milk. When Joe had investigated the next day after being called. He had discovered not one, but two nests several feet apart beneath the fallen palms. Both nests contained several new born baby squirrels. With one litter being much smaller and days younger. The babies were near hairless, cold and hungry. Joe, not wanting to take what he surely thought were abandoned nests. Decided to wait one more day and monitor the litters too see if the parents would come back. After and evening of cries and no sign of moms or dads, Joe quicky rescued the starving, cold and by now weak babies. After a few days in a warm incubator. As well as feedings every few hours, Joe's hard and selfless work and attention proved priceless as well as rewarding in ways only those that "DO" will truely understand. Not to mention an experience of a life time for my daughter as you will see... ENJOY. PEACE!
Skullcrusher.
