Joe is passionate about cartography and flying. He took a helicopter tour of Berlin and tracked the helicopters GPS position with Ovi Maps on his Nokia N97 in offline mode. Before getting on the helicopter he used Nokia Map Loader to preload the map of Berlin and Brandenburg on his phone.

@chuahean95 Yes you can, but you'll need to make sure you have the offline maps preloaded. Also, make sure you have your phone on airplane mode!

@rithunarackal you have to connect the phone to the pc and use nokia ovi suite to download the maps

nokia ovi maps 3.06 dont work off line or without sim card, it needs some kb to preload, then you can navigate free. when you dont have credit on the phone or without sim card it doesnt work, i wait for 10 minutes for the gps, if it works after 10 minutes i dont know, i dont want to wait
