Hello.
The Solex is back and has been for some years. The factory is near Calais but the USA owns the name so they are marketed outside the US as Black n Roll s4800.
In the US they are Velosolex. I have one of the very last made in Hungary in 2002.

I believe the production of the VeloSolex was stopped far too soon. With Millions having been sold there can't be too much wrong with the principles involved. The electric bicycles are no where near ready yet because of their short range and the need for several hours recharging every time. When the batteries give up they cost a fortune to replace. Give me a petroil driven bike that you can pedal a little any day. Bring back the PROPER VeloSolex. What about a small Diesel one even?
