It has to be a spoof, as this child does not display the slightest trace of artistic ability. Why bother with the spoof, however? It is not amusing, it is simply pointless.

I write books about children's art and I think the kid is doing just about what all kids his age do. I'm not sure what this video is really about. I think his parents are dreaming...and their interaction is disturbing. Paint the blue, paint the blue.... oh dear.

It wasn't a shitty camera (Sony handycam). I added an "old film" filter in iMovie for a grainy effect. Not sure what happened when the file was compressed by Y/T because the quality was actually quite good with the original file.
