Ok, ur entitled to ur opinion mate, just ive played every EA cricket game pretty much, and i havent enjoyed one in a long time.

i dunno mate about ur comment, ea cricket 2005 was a great game for its time as was ashes cricket in 1997 if u ever got the chance to play it. is this game coming out for the WII ?

According to Wikipedia: "Ashes Cricket 2009 is an upcoming Cricket sports game developed by Transmission Games and published by Codemasters in the UK and by Atari in Australia". So no, I dont think EA is involved at all. Which is a good thing because EA have never made a decent cricket game.

The Brian Lara franchise is being abandoned, but cricket sim games will still be produced by the same company - codemasters will release "ashes cricket 2009" in july on pc and next generation consoles, which im guessing is the successor to the lara series.
