Laying the draw with a view to trading it back in play is a very popular strategy on betting exchanges. But does it work? Here we use Soccer Mystic to understand what would happen in a match if we laid the draw.

  • Sorry you misunderstand i mean what goes wrong with the lay the draw and trade out when a goal is scored system. Is it lack of discipline, greed? A very bad run of 0-0s or the "wrong"team scoring first can be avoided by "redding" out im just interested to know your opinion of what goes wrong long term.

  • You can minimise downside by picking matches that are much more likely to have bigger downside if the wrong team scores first. Or you can hedge that downside in a secondary market. But ultimately you still need to find the right market at the right price. That the crux of things.

  • That should have read, 'must LESS likely', doh!

  • @betangeltv how much does the software cost

  • @jayangli - You get three peices of software for the price of one, soccer mystic, Bet Angel for Betfair and Bet Angel for Betdaq. You can buy for a day or a year! Full pricing is available on our website. Unfortunatley YouTube won't let us post URL's in the comments section.

  • What goes wrong with this system long term? It looks easy so why doesnt everyone do it?

  • @dixon97a - All the price predictor does it tell you what is likely to happen it doesn't act like a system as such, you still need to pick and choose what matches you would use a tactic like this on.

  • @dixon97a hi ive been wondering the same thing, this looks like a profitable system if applied correctly. imo backing the 0-0 is wasting money long term its probably better to trade out when you think neither team will score.

  • This looks good, I'm gonna start trading, definitely gonna purchase Bet Angel

  • Soccer Mystic is a nice tool to use on the footy games. Well worth using with the under2.5 goals market which I talk about in Wizardcast 46 - Trading under 2.5 Goals on Betfair.

  • It's ok, lay the draw if it's not over 4.00, trade out after home team scored = profit, if away team scored trade out for break even, what happend if there is no goal in 1st half? Trade out for a loss of ~50%? It's better to lay first half 0-0 in-play max odds 2.50 and win 70% of the time... for a healthy profit of ~25pts...
