They truly did a number on the Borg. It was an abstract menace, faceless dread, ruthless efficiency, and instead we received yet another 'beam and torpedo' race, a trademark staple in the Trek franchise.

The conflict between species 8472 (bipedal drudgery) and the Borg should have show-cased a lot more forms of space-combat orientated weapons tech. Instead we had the Borg taking on the Vorlon rejects with Romulan style disruptors and torpedoes. Pathetic.

In Voyager, it was both funny and sad watching how pitiful and stupid this great villain had become. Like when Voyager beamed a torpedo aboard one of their ships. Instead of the Borg just beaming the torpedo out into space, they tried to defuse it! This was the once awesome Borg Collective, with its billions of minds from thousands of species all working as one to overcome any obstacle, and now they cant even solve a simple problem. Crap Voyager killed one of the greatest villain species in ST.

I loved and hated ds9 like a space ship in the star trek universe that never moved WTF... and it was too battle star galictica which they were competing with and stole more of they'r "dark settings" shit like set desgin but ODO took the place of data and worf obrian were still there ferengees what's not to like

@djm2A I confess the first 2 seasons of Enterprise were awful but at 3 and 4 were brilliant. The show actually leaped in a new direction with an ongoing story like in DS9. A major improvement that elevated it above Voyager for me.

@djm2A I just cannot defend Voyager for how bad it was. It even disregarded it's own (and i use the term loosely) continuity. It just became a series of bottle episodes that rarely amounted to anything. Example... in Equinox, Ransom asks Janeway how many times she's broken the Prime Directive to protect her crew. "Never" she replies. BULL BLOODY SHIT!!! lol

@djm2A Were you even paying attention to that craptacular show?

1. It was the DELTA Quadrant.

2. All the other ships were sent back back the Caretaker. Voyager just happened to get shafted when Janeway's first major act of stupidity was to blow up their only way home.

3. The "cut of from any support" you mentioned. Granted this was true but it was so badly handled. the ship was reset and automatically repaired after every episode. It was just total bullshit. Show down the whole concept.

Although I won't argue TNG was a better show jus VOY showcased more of the borg, most of the time janeway ran unless she had a trick up her sleeve or plan she tried to stay as far away from the borg at all times,,, I agree tho we didnt get enough borg in Ds9 but think about it this way VOY character selection was amazing because you had to see the same starfleet officers for 6 or 7 seasons

WHATTTTT!!!! Voyager Soooooo owned.... Wagon trail across the stars cut off from any support... it was a miracle they made it back they were one of lik 100's of ships pulled into the gamma quadrent by the CARETAKer.. the only one that made it back.. Love that episode whn they find the only other federation ship still alive. Captain janeway is selfrightious but which SF captain isnt
