No one invented electricty, as you can't invent it. Ben Franklin just figured out how to use it.

Edison didn't invent electricity, he just figured out how to sell it, and the method we use belongs to someone else. Edison's method of delivering electricity, direct current, would have required a power plant every square mile. We're using Nicola Tesla's alternating current, which can travel miles across much thinner wires.
