A Senate page Brigette DePape managed to stand just metres away from the prime minister with a sign saying "Stop Harper" during the government's throne speech in Ottawa Friday afternoon.

Marcelle had served in the upper chamber for nearly a year and she said in her press release that the government's policies don't reflect the majority of Canadians.

"Harper's agenda is disastrous for this country and for my generation," Marcelle says in the release, which hit the Internet shortly after she was escorted out of the Senate.

"We have to stop him from wasting billions on fighter jets, military bases, and corporate tax cuts while cutting social programs and destroying the climate," she says.

"Most people in this country know what we need are green jobs, better medicare, and a healthy environment for future generations."

Soloman needs to get off his butt kissing agenda and move onto questions other than "why did you disrespect the parliament:" stupidity? She did because she has more backbone than you Soloman. There is a huge discourse in this country and for good reason. Maybe if you were a real journalist you would look into some of those questions and you may find the answer to your stupid question among the responses. CBC get rid of this mutant.

@TheSAMathematician Harper won a majority but he didn't win the vote of the majority of the people. He only won with 39% of the popular vote, therefore 61% of the people who voted voted against the Harper government! STOP HARPER!!!!!!

What is wrong with Evan Solomon that he faialed to objectively interview this young lady only to scold her publicly. Did he get paid a little extra from 'you know who' to do this? How gracious she remained through the whole interview. Never will I read nor watch anything on CBC from this evan goof again!
