Gets good @ 48 secs. Getting "ran in" on the dyno. Dyno readout on the dial / digital isn't fast enough to catch all the detail. The actual sensor numbers are what gets recorded. Dyno sheet...

  • Hi Y'all (thats southern US for Hello). For those of you who came here to see a new example of a 50 year old technology built up to stuff in a 40 year old car, welcome. Hope you enjoy watching the clip. For those of you busy hatin', why are you here? Isn't that like going to a museum of American Art and complaining it's not Leonardo da Vinci? i respect the capabilities of many cars. A 20K RPM F1 is thrilling. My engine is built to move 3800lbs and be street-drivable. Its Old School, digg?

  • Thans for the comments. Re the GTR, way cool car. Different npurpose tho. Try comparing apples to toaster ovens. BTW, the engine builder told me he can get over 1000hp from this engine easily. This one is relatively mild.

  • they should put the fan blades on to have the real hp out of the engine when its in the car since the fan can suck some hp's out of the engine

  • Or use an electric fan in the car...

  • Great engine Verthemi! The Jungle Cat was blown away! And forget all those wanna be "experts" out there who sit behind a keyboard fantasizing bout driving a car with more than 150 HP. I especially laffed at the comment about the hemi engine with 8,000 HP. Yep, sure enuff, and good for a few 1/4 mile passes between rebuilds. You and I know the real deal don't we? Git er done!

  • I need some fresh pants......love it! :-D

  • @DrMMHMD Your statement "there is no relationship between HP and MPH" isn't quite correct. Given the horsepower and weight of a car, it is quite easy to predict the speed and E.T. capability over a quarter mile.

  • @DrMMHMD What, 700 hp is not enough for you? That equates to over 200 mph on the road!

  • nice! Over the years I witnessed many Hemis on rays dyno including Buckys and ran my 360 on it also, made 540 with the wrong headers.they only had standard headers while mine were W2's ..so a lot of leakage was present.

would have made more HP with the correct ones..

  • A blown racing Hemi will make about 8000 hp.

  • That was unbelievable, 704.1 at 6500rpm! Well done verthemi.

  • is your 71 barracuda vert for sale????

  • i used to work at morgans speed shop here in northern california, he would race modify hemi's. he did things with those motors that blew the mind. a fully drag race modded hemi, blown and injected, running on nitromethane can make over 3000 hp. it surely is a bad ass motor in any form.
