While Fulton Sheen perpetuated the delusions of christianity, he was at least a liberal christian and did not seem to spread a message of hate (although his church to this day is still against rights for women, gays, molested children, etc.).
He was an entertainer and a good story teller (even if those stories were fabrications, he told them well and believably).

"Work a-hard." With the change of culture, the Archbishop's advice may have changed to "work a-smarter."
