An educational opossum eating over ripe strawberries on the lawn. They tip their head back when they eat so they don't spill the juice out of their mouthI am a licensed wildlife rehabilitator. Animal Advocates, Mary Cummins, http://www.animaladvocates.us http://www.mary-cummins.org

  • I read that some possums are omnivores... does that mean that they need both meat and non-meat or can they live on strictly one or the other form of diet? I don't have anything against animals eating animals of course, that's the way of the nature, but if it is avoidable without neglecting the nutritional needs of the animal, a non-meat diet is naturally preferable.

  • @geostigma123 In actuality they will eat dead animals and insects during one part of the year when they are plentiful. During other parts of the year they can survive on plant material if available. They can eat, digest both meat and plants but they don't need both.

  • Damn, those are some ugly critters. The only time I've ever seen one up close was after my Aunt's doberman got done with it, and there wasn't much left. Raccoons are cuter, but are even more of a pest because they're smarter.

  • I saw like this one at my front of my house i thought it's a white BIG RAT!

  • LOL that looks like me on a weekend but on a couch watching tv XD

  • So cute.

  • this one aint as bad looking as the ones around here lol

  • @mtdewchallenger Are your parents brother and sister? I was just wondering, since you'd actually tear up your vehicle to do something that does not benefit you in the slightest and makes you look like a hateful idiot.

  • I love to see possums with a full tire tread track down their length. They're so cute that way. I'll actually drive into a ditch to apply said tread track on one.
