Battlefield Fight League 185lb (middleweight) MMA champion, SFU and Douglas College wrestler shows a crippling belly to belly suplex on up and coming MMA fighter David Kennedy. Micah has hit this same move in MMA fights and wrestling tournaments. Micah sets this move up from a standard two on one armdrag.

  • Actually forget about my last comment. I seen you roll off to the side just before you slammed em.

  • @Vancouverjason1 could you image what would happen if that was done on pavement......

  • Um this may sound silly, but when on the recieving end of a suplex, whats the idea to avoid as much damage as possible? Head up & slap the mat judo style?

  • @wondeboy12 no such thing as a silly question. Best idea is to tuck your chin against your chest and try to roll out of it like the partner did in this video. Worst thing you can do is keep your head up because you could spike yourself. If possible try and roll off a shoulder instead of rolling over your head when you land.

  • @kombatnation Thank you sir, you are a scholar & a gentleman.

I recently started grappling (primarily wrestling but some BJJ & the odd judo class) after being dormant for many years after several amatuer kickboxing bouts & the death of my KB instructor. It's fun but so very "alien" I'm also a bit of a one trick pony, If i can score a throw or a takedown I'm a chance at scoring a agricultural sub or pin depending on rules, once I'm on my back I'm screwed lol I need to learn to actually "Roll"

  • @wondeboy12 sorry to hear about your KB instructor. Top game dominance is the most important part of grappling in tourny's so your off to a good start. A lot of wrestlers and some Judoka players don't like being on their backs so what your feeling is pretty normal. I would suggest 4 now using your scrambles to stay on-top or stand back up. Try getting a partner to roll with who you trust & can leave your ego off the mat, then only play bottom with no submissions, you just need flight time.

  • remember people, keep your head below hte other guys sholderblades. don't want to break your own neck.

  • Thank you for this instructional! I am impressed with your control during your suplex to keep it from being full force and give your training partner a second to prepare.

  • Imagine that on the pave.I think it would be a double ko.

  • great technique im going to study this.
