  • He was my theory professor as well. Me and my friend Hugo where really close to him but sad to say he passed away about a year ago.

  • Sad to say that yes, poor Wally's gone but he lives on in our memories and recordings that I transferred from reel-to-reels from the ECC archive.

    This tune though is addictive and I want to revisit it this year, hopefully!

  • one day Gerald Wilson gave a seminar lecture

    I put together a rhythm section and we all jammed; had a blast. the great Wally Bower was theory professor, would love to contact him if u know how.

  • l learned it when I was about 16! it's an old standard; u can find the score easily, look around.

    when I played in ECC jazzband 69-72-ish Mr Mack was director, bassist was Tony Garnier who's been with Bob Dylan 25+ years, alto sax was Larry McCrae a killer player.
