  • The entire movie beautifully made & directed by Roben Mamoulian a mastery of new technicolor innovation based on Diego Velázquez paintings... Marvelous.

  • Animal torturer! It looks gorgeous, though, photography is beautiful and people actually speak clean literate dialogue and not like they had sewer in the place of mouth.

  • Sad to think that both these beautiful people died so early: Linda Darnell first in a fire and Tyrone Power from a heart attack after filming a hectic swordfight with George Sanders. Up to about 25 years ago, Power, a handsome Catholic lad of Irish extraction, was still popular in Spain. Barbers would use a pihoto of him to show how much a good haircut could enhance a man's appearance. I've been looking for his "Captain from Castile" for years now -anybody got it? It's pretty old by now.

  • Tyrone and Linda were beautiful in this. My first Tyrone Power movie.....beautiful

  • Thank you so much for this.Linda Darnell and Tyrone Power had great chemistry.

  • Fighting with bull is stupid.

  • @acla9000 I agree with you in that Blood and Sand is the "greatest matador in movie history." Tyrone, Linda, and Rita are all legends in the golden era of Hollywood. They are the greatest!

  • I got this movie in a DVD five-pack of Tyrone Power's films. From the (bad) summary on the box, I thought it would be my least favorite of Power's movies, but after watching it I like it almost as much as his "Mark of Zorro." It was a great film, and for guitar buffs like me, the flamenco sounds of Vicente Gomez were an added bonus. ^_^

  • "The greatest matador in MOVIE history", I would say.
