Saturday morning telly was one of the ways to get exposure for your new record in the eighties and this show was one of a plethora around at the time. So, we were more than happy to give up our Saturday mornings to talk rubbish to anyone who'd have us. Tich never lived down his response to the first question! "Between us and the ballot box"... what was he on? It's been a standing joke in the band every time there's been a general election since.

  • No offence, but this video proves that you guys weren't half a bunch of yuppies - especially the fella on the right.

Mind you, so was a lot of the country back then so maybe that's why your records sold well.

  • No argument with that. Just goes to show - yuppies can be funky muthaf**kers too!

    Cheers,

    Marcus

  • That female presenter is awful - first taking the mickey out of that lad's accent, then dissing Sheffield, then not allowing you to answer that kid's question at the end...

  • How did it feel being interviewed by the Gallagher's dodgy scouse cousin?

  • With perhaps the addition of bass, I'd have to agree with the presenter that you could have cut it live - just the 3 of you. But the record company wouldn't have been into that at all.
