Here's the vanilla frosting recipe I used (from Bakerella's book):
3/4 cup butter, at room temp
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups confectioners' sugar
You can get the candy wafers (the coating which is melted) and lollypop sticks from Hobby Lobby in the cake decorating section. Other craft stores probably carry them also.
A beginner's step-by-step guide in making Cake Pops. I used Bakerella's book for the recipe

  • Where can u buy the candy wafers?

  • @ultimatedarkside1 at Hobby Lobby. But I now recommend using organic chocolate for two reasons: 1. It tastes better 2. It doesn't contain genetically modified organisms. Go to any organic food store to get the chocolate.

  • This was great! Thanks for the video:)

  • @labellavitakurz Also, after you insert the lollypop stick into the cake balls, you need to refrigerate them for say 25 minutes to make sure they are hard enough to withstand the candy coating. I learned that during my first attempt to make them.

  • @stellabelle thank you!:)

  • @labellavitakurz You're welcome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I made cake pops again and used a mixer to combine the frosting with the cooked cake. It was a lot easier.
