"2120 South Michigan Avenue" is the street address of Chess Studios, where many of the band's R&B idols had recorded. After a disappointing first half of their inaugural American Tour, the Stones were brought to Chicago for these sessions. The first day, June 10, the Stones thrilled by the appearence of several visitors in the studio - Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry and Willie Dixon. When the band arrived the next day, none other than Muddy Waters helped them lug guitars and amps into the studio, and stayed around to chat with the boys, who were astonished by the whole experience.

Après un début décevant de leur tournée inaugurale en Amérique, les Stones se sont dirigés vers Chicago pour y réaliser plusieurs enregistrements. Dès le premier jour, 10 juin 1964, les Stones ont été enthousiasmés de voir les studios fréquentés par des artistes réputés tels que Buddy Guy, Chuck Berry et Willie Dixon. Quand le groupe est arrivé le lendemain, Muddy Waters fut le seul à leur fournir une aide pour entrer les guitares et les amplis et à être resté en leur compagnie pour discuter avec eux. Les Stones furent très étonnés par toute son expérience.

@yahood66 Thanks for your comment. I agree with you, the Rolling Stones have not earned their reputation as an instrumental band. However they have made some instrumental pieces of high quality like "Goin 'Home" (on the album "After Math"). This is my fave Stones tune! I've loved the album version for forty years, but this is even better! Brian's trembling lead guitar reminds me of Albert Collins and Danny Kirwan who came after this. Perfect video for this Chicago blues shuffle! Thanks!

@theZblues the best version of this that have heard was on the German LP Around and Around it went on a lot longer,i have a copy a copy of the LP but it fads out at the best bit,if any one has the German LP,put it on here it will blow your mind
