From Cold Case ep 5.02 "That Woman." Guest starring as Carrie's mom was Mackenzie Phillips of So Weird fame; so I had to use one of her songs from the show. It's called "Rebecca," but the sentiments are the same.

*spoilers* Carrie was murdered by those she considered friends, but she was always eager to reach out to them. Her mom felt bad all these years for not telling her how special she was, but Carrie already knew. That's what I was trying to convey.*
