Awesome video! Thanks for this! It would be so cool for the Occupy movement to ask for BIG as that will end the poverty for the 99% and elevate everyone to a dignified life!

@burnindownthehouse Though how much people in America own a yacht? How much people are that wealthy that they want to protect the current mess? The reality is that the number of poor/unfortunate people outweighs the number of wealthy people. In this the conservatives and liberals fucked themselves - because when BIG becomes a political proposal, the majority will obviously vote for it as it is the solution to poverty.

I am all for this idea. The problem is that conservatives would never support it. They are not willing to sacrifice. If you asked them if they could choose between a new yacht for themselves or having a very poor family of people fed for a year, they would choose the yacht every time because they only care about themselves. In order for a basic income grant to work, conservatives would have to sacrifice just a tiny bit but they won't. They're rotten to the core.

This is not a political mandate. It is the right thing to do. We will work through a political process, within a democratic framework, to bring about equality for all. Last time I checked it was a liberal president in the US and a liberal House of Reps that voted on the disgraceful continuation of US military interventions throughout the world.
