So they found some pissed off fundamentalist and funded them through P-Tech, then denied that they had knowledge that they were dangerous (Able Danger) then when they attack Vigilant Guardian, a simulator of multiple attacks, was run which caused confusion so that the attacks could go through so they could then blame the muslims and invade Afghanistan to build it.

Muslims hate freedoms and want to destroy those that have them, so they attack the US because clearly only the United States have freedoms. (until the UK and Spain gained their freedoms in 07)
