www. WestCoastOutdoor.ca Panorame of the Galloping Goose Bike trail which runs from Downtown Victoria, Vancouver Island, BC Canada to Leechtown, near Sooke BC.
A 55km traffic free trail that links Victoria, Colwood, Langford, Luxton, Metchosin, Sooke, Sooke Potholes Park and Leechtown.
Folllowing an old railroad bed (the trial is named after the "nick-name" of the train that once rolled along this route) it is by far the best way to get a taste of the regions natural beauty. The Colwood - Potholes section is easily accessible, with stunning views of forest mountains, lakes, the Sooke Basin, the Sooke River and Potholes Park. The more adventerous (fitter) may wish to do the complete trail - even joining the Lochside Trail that will take you to the Ferry in Swartz Bay!
Most Victoria Transit Buses have cycle racks capable of carrying 2 bikes so one - way trips are always an option.
West Coast Outdoor Adventure Rentals will be only to pleased to supply you with a Norco bike perfect for the "Goose" or to explore the many lanes and roads in the area.
If you have your own bike and want to ride someting a little more "hard core" ! From the Downhill drops, twist & turns of Mt Manual Quimper ("Harbourview") to the Pacific Marine Circle road Loop - this area has some of the best anywhere - and one of the only places on the West Coast of Canada you can MTB 365 days of the year!
Contact West Coast Outdoor Adventure Rentals for rates and info.. We'll get you "into" nature!
