  • a 70mph head-on to a dead stop will mean death in any vehicle.

  • Bring the smart roadster with the turbo engine and I would be all over that.

  • It's a decent video but the reviewer is somewhat amateurish.

  • I Adore This Car SO CUTE!!

  • Ecellent review not constantly going on about the so called negative aspects of the car.

Afterall this was a car designed for the European market and really is totally unsuited to the American market.

Gas prices have to be cheap in the Us due to the huge distances some people have to travel.

Currently gas prices are £1.25 a Litre here in the Uk about £6 a gallon.

Imagine if you were paying that in the states CIVIL UNREST.

  • You don't have to go in the car and put the key in the ignition to open the second part of the roof, just press the remote control a second time......

  • @jrroelle

Thought you were referring to a head collision. Sorry mate.

  • @Allante715 My comment was regarding a dead stop scenario. A Lincoln Town Car going 70 to a dead stop would also kill all inside.

PS: You are about a year late on that comment, bro.

  • @jrroelle

Speed is only half of the equation. The mass of the two vehicles also play a role. I.E. you are in a smart and you run into a Full Size Car like a Lincoln Town Car. The Town Car will fare much better because it is of greater mass then the Smart. In this collision the Smart will stop and reverse directions while the Lincoln Town Car may only stop or even continuing traveling in the same direction.

Look what happens when any car strikes a tractor trailer.

  • @kasagar Thanks for the info. Good to know. This thing just isn't frugal at all. It's supposed to be the ultimate in efficiency, but when you break it down, it's just not. I can buy cheap rubber for $60/ea, oil/filter change is $30, tune ups about $50, which I can do myself. So you take that into consideration for a small car like Yaris or Accent, and they seem cheaper.

  • Tires are $75-$100 each, but the car is so light, it'll take a long time to wear them down. Tune-up's are easy, you can do it yourself...oil and filter, about fifty bucks...

  • Smart Care are the best cars ! Thanks for the great Nation is making them .. . . .And your people , Dmtau think you guys great too ! Kill all Mongols . . with all things Fake ! Shuttle,B1,B2,Seawolf,F117,F22,F35,Kungfu. . . ..all Fake!
