In conjunction with International Volunteers Day, The Sheep Art Committee invite everyone to the official launch of Sheep Art.
Monday the 5th of December from 11 - 1pm, featuring Austrailia's first mob of painted sheep celebrating Sheep, Art and Community Activism
It will feature the unveiling of a copy of the 2006 Archibald Prize Winner,The Paul Juraszek Monolith by Kaniva born artist Marcus Wills and an Art exhibition of Sheep paintings by local artists plus historical sheep display by Lillymur Estate Lannin Stud Farm. Blade shearing and regular Shearing demonstration at 12 noon. Also Bush Poetry, Music by local Aussie Bush Band, various others & school kids themed around Australia and the wool industry. Official opening by Peter Hicks, Hannaton following shearing demonstrations. Free Lamb BBQ featuring locally grown and produced lamb burgers and sausages, also Lamb-ingtons and sheep biscuits, Plus felting and spinning demos from 11am.
