I actually shot this image a while ago, but just got around to editing the video. It was a fun shoot, with lots of junk food flying, and CRAZY face expressions! I really love it when I get to work with people who aren't afraid to show their true colors... it really makes for great REALITY SHOOT material! Music by: Alligators

  • do you use photomatix? if not what software do you use for HDR imaging?

  • I wish that's all it took to create these images my friend... I'd be a billionaire:) If you REALLY look at them compared to HDR images, my images are deep, rich, and contain way too much contrast to be "HDR". Photomatix is just a filter. Most "HDR" images all look the same, soft glow, NO contrast, and oddly colored. I have no problem with HDR, if it is used in a creative way. My two cents:

Treat ANY filter as a powerful spice in a recipe, use it SPARINGLY or it will ruin the entire dish.

  • incredible!

  • Jamie, I am glad you enjoy the work! Some of the images can take in upwards to 50 hours to create, but in answer to another part of your previous question, here are some of the tools and filters I do use:

LAYERS, (sometimes literally hundreds), masks (almost every layer), dodge & burn tool, levels-adjustment layers, patch, healing-brush, liquefy, transform, etc...

Hopefully this post will help clarify why my work looks the way it does:

  • that was the best opinion about HDR imaging i have ever read, and i do use photomatix for some stuff, but only coz i'm too busy/too scared to actually get into detail developing like you guys do! coz i feel it's a path that's once taken, you cant get back from. but i guess that's why you guys get the big bucks. skaters all the way!

  • Bryan, you are a genius!

  • good words! very inspiring! keep it up!
