  • Here's the correct/easist way to remember soft hands A2-A6 using the Rule of 9:

    - Always double A2-A6 vs Dealer 5 or 6

    - Aways just hit A2-A6 vs Dealer 2

    - Otherwise, add up your low card and dealer card. If it adds up to 9 or more, double.

    - The exception is A4 vs 4, which is a double. Hitting is a very small error.

    If dealer hits soft 17, only 3 rules change. Double 11 vs A, A7 vs 2, A8 vs 6.

A7 hand is correct in video.

  • These rules are mostly incorrect! First, he doesn't give what table rules this applies to. Single deck? Double deck? Shoe games? Does dealer hit or stand soft 17?

In shoe games, if the dealer stands on all 17s, you don't double A8 vs 6! You don't double A6 vs 2! You don't double A2 or A3 vs dealer 4!

With dealer hitting soft 17 rules, you do double A8 vs 6 but you also double A7 vs 2! But you never double A6 vs 2 except in single deck games!

  • Cool. good strategy. thanks for the tip
