I also remember one min. to go in the Gold medal game with the US down by one to SPAIN. When Lebron, Carmelo and Wade ALL differed to the Mamba. Kobe crossed up the Spanish defender, got fouled, knocked down the three and in an iconic look, he put his finger to his mouth basically telling the Spanish fans to shut the hell up. The best ballas in the World differed to Kobe when it mattered.

not biased but i think, if only kobe played in fiba and the olumpics 2004 in athens, the result might have been better...i mean, they could have won..based on what happend in the 2008 olympics..kobe was definitely the main key why usa won the gold again after a long time..

2012 oylmpics here in london..can't wait to see here the gang..just hoping that kobe would still be on it!another gold!

Wrong. At that moment the USA was up by 4 points. I don't think the USA trailed at any moment of that game.

It is also unfair to give all the credit to Bryant, especially after the superb performances of Wade coming off the bench. He excelled in both ends of the court, becoming the team's best perimeter defender and a real offensive threat. For the record, in the gold medal game he scored 27 pts (75% accuracy) and Bryant 20 (50%).
