GAZA CITY IS BURNING - SACK BAN KI-MOON

Israel have attacked the city of Gaza. Apartment blocks are burning. People trapped in elevators.Buildings collapsing. Fire service inoperable. Whilst Ban Ki-Moon shows his weak leadership, ignored by both sides. American tax payers are paying for this war. Israel now spinning lies, saying Hamas have caused the injuries. How do we also know that it is not Israel who are sending the rockets to prolong the war? The Americans are the only ones who are able to stop this. The American people can put pressure on their government.

I disagree that Americans are the only ones who can stop this war. Either the Israelis or the Hamas can stop it by compliance and compromise. At present they both choose to ignore civilian casualties and continue to attack with rockets and bombs.

All that needs to happen, is for America to say they won't be giving them the $30 billion worth of weapons they are expecting each decade.The USA abstained. The USA are thus controlling this.

Ban Ki Moon is an appointed representative of the UN and is not accountable for the actions of Hamas, which have made it necessary for Israel to take defensive action vis-à-vis the deadly Jihadi ideology of Hamas. Israel's leadership is accountable to the Israeli electorate. Hamas claims accountability to Allah who does not arbitrate at negotiations on behalf of His acolytes. Hamas must accept responsibility, and Gazans must stop cynically using democracy to further Hamas' goals.

You mean have the US withhold armaments until the Israelis and Hamas have stopped attacking each other? That may impede the Israelis but it would probably have the opposite effect on the Hamas and therefore there would be no ceasefire. There can only be peace when both sides want it.

If Bush Administration were honest in it's stace,then why aren't they butting in the "aggressive" Palestinians, like they always do? Isn't that their excuse for killing over a million Iraqis in 1991?
