  • First of all GREAT work!

Wondering if you memorize your routine by practice or do you write the choreo up on paper and then learn it? I am trying to figure out how to memorize the steps I come up with , with the music and keep them consistent. Pls help.

  • Thank you! What I do when creating new choreo is first 'mark up' the song on paper (so I know how many sets of 8 are in the Verse and Chorus parts, and if there are any extra breaks in the song). Then I visualizue different moves and write my ideas down on the paper, corresponding with the part of the song. I dance out the ideas to check out the "flow" - most of the time I end up changing choreo 2 or 3 times before I'm satisifed. All of this helps with music and choreo memorization, too.

  • I just wanted to tell you that I LOVE your choreography!!!!I just started teaching dance fitness and I have an extensive dance background but did not know how tricky it could be to do choreo for a fitness class! I have found you stuff to be quite inspirational.thanks!!!!!!!

  • Thank you! I'm glad that I could help you out. Good luck with your classes!

  • You're awesome!!!!! I've been teaching Zumba for 1 1/2 years. My classes are packed. I teach 10 classes per week and have very little time to learn new choreograph. I watched, memorized and had this exhilarating warm up nailed within 15 mins. My students LOVED IT!!!!! THANKS SO MUCH FOR SHARING. ZUMBA HUGS TO YOU!!!!! YOU'RE SENSATIONAL

  • Thank you so much! I'm so flattered you chose to do my choreo and had success with it in your classes! I appreciate your kind words... and I'm definitely with you - a Warm Up should be simple, easy to follow (for student and instructor), exhilirating and quick for an instructor to learn. Zumba Hugs right back at ya sista!

  • I loved your performance. You move very graceful.I wish I can do the same .Can you do more choreography with the tune of Roxette's songs? Thanks

  • easy 2 do warmup.. :D

  • Thank You tons for making a video that a beginner like me (with health problems) can attempt to keep up with. I have a rare joint diesase and am so limited in my moves, and wasted money on DVD's that are too fast & jerky. This gave me a healthy, fun and safe workout. YOU gave me hope for the future as I miss my dancing days from yrs ago. I am 55 and need to get in shape without injury. Bless you for helping me!

  • I am new to Zumba so I like the easy moves to work on outside of my class time.

    Thanks for sharing!!
