This three-day bash from 17-19 June takes place in East Tsim Sha Tsui on the Kowloon side of beautiful Victoria Harbour. This major festival will feature the San Miguel Beer Garden with food stalls and live entertainment and provide the perfect backdrop to all the excitement as the world's leading dragon boat teams race for glory at the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Races.

  • I am looking forward to this event!

Well if you want to get technical, since this is Hong Kong and the main language is Cantonese, using Mandarin/ping yin isn't quite right.

  • Nice! Hope to visit and experience it one day

  • That's Jiān Shā Zuǐ (尖沙嘴) or sharp sandy mouth.

Also Kowloon sounds like some kind of weird bird.

It should really be Jiǔ Lóng (玖龍) or 9 Dragons.

(I hate British butchering of Chinese - drives me crazy.)

  • Damn, gonna miss it....
