Having lived in Echo Park in 85~I know a little bit about what it was about. Gangs, rapes, fights, hate, some good neighbors, insanity, bodies being dumped in the lake, the nightstalker, about six robberies at our house. Racism, poverty, drugs, prostitution, generational heroin addiction. Those were probably the good ole days for somebody.

@stonethemason Anthony Quinn started acting in the mid 30's. When would he have had the time to claim EP gang? I met a 60 yr old veterano that still lives in ep and he said EP gang was called the ep boys in the 70's. Diamond and Apline were the only real oldest 30's or 40's gang back in the day according to him. So nicca please =)
