I this series so much. I currently watching it. I love serious animes like these that draw you and get you hook. I also watched Ghost in the Shell which is one of favorite serious animes that I come to love. P.S. RIP Durand. I luv this anime, its too awesome.

I'd group my liking of this show in with Gankutsuou. Any period pieces done fantastically will automatically get my thumbs up. Cliche to say because others have, but this was a breath of fresh air in an otherwise morbid mausoleum. Durand was my favorite ;-;

This is one beautifully drawn series. I'm getting sick of seeing ninjas and samurais, personally. So this is certainly refreshing.

We need more sophisticated anime to be produced. I'm tiered of every new anime being about ninja's and high school crushes. It's mundane and really spits on the deep anime of the 80's and 90's.
