  • when was this piece created?

  • This was the first modern dance piece I ever saw performed, and it was an accident! Thank you so much Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance company for this beautiful work, I am so glad I got to stumble upon you. You all inspired me so much, I want to be a professional dancer/choreographer because of this piece. Thanks :)

ps. does anyone know the poem that Leah Cox dances to at 1:15ish in this video? I remember that part as being my absolute favorite.. thanks in advance.

  • Music is from Bach's Sonatas and Partitas for Solo Violin--this is from Sonata #1 in G minor; it's the second movement. I highly recommend listening to ALL of them--they're hauntingly beautiful.

  • So sad that Pina isn't alive anymore...

  • could anyone tell me what music is this? i can't get it out of my mind

  • Bill T Jones and Pina Bausch are the most original choreographer dancers alive today.

    Deeply sensitive spiritual dance...

  • This man is brilliant and I am in awe of his talent.

  • We've just added this great video to VOXDANCE (new dance video website).

    Thanks for posting it!

On VOXDANCE you'll find the best videos of Ballet, Contemporary dance, Flamenco, Indian dance and Belly dance.

  • I saw this piece performed at UMASS last year, so inventive and powerful, i loved every second of it. I loved how the dancers had their own stories expressed in the piece and the political statement it made. Wonderful! Truely what cutting edge modern should be

  • I saw this performed at Dartmouth College last year -- it was beautiful, although I thought there were sometimes too many things goign on on stage for me to focus on the dancing. Over all an amazing piece, though.
