On inaccurate history...
Anything with HIS-TORY, is just that. Notes by someone who wants to tell us their side of it. The weak becomes the hero, the hero becomes a barbaric dude, the barbaric becomes a saint. The saint a murder. And sometimes, there never was an enemy, so they create one.

@offthehook2 Exactly. People need to stop complaining about historical dramas being 'inaccurate'. Even if they are, it should be obvious -- nothing in real life gets half as interesting as the drama we see in movies. Hence why I never see anything on television as anywhere close to 'real life' unless it specifically is labeled a 'documentary'. Even then...
