  • The pignose is for preheating and can keep the kiln at below 212F for a couple days to make sure everything is dry and then heat slowly over a few more days to past quartz conversion. Then we go `Fire to the hobs' and head for ^12 in 24 hours. Did I was we???, there is just me firing and I will sleep or go to the part time job at Wal*Mart in lawn and garden.
