I agree with this notion. It's a beautiful and sad way of describing how much you miss someone sometimes and wish you could be with them again. 'You miss them so much, you have to become them"

I couldn't agree more. The most addicting album I've heard since I was little. Even Alligator is excellent. Once you've listened to both a lot it's hard to separate the two.

this was actually the first song on this album to really really grab me...and it remains my favorite.

you do realise that naming it like that prevents it from appearing in searches titled "the national green gloves" lol

I love this album.

The more I listen to this group the more I like them--they have such a unique sound and it's quite beautiful!

"Its more about trying to remember someone and sort of be them—someone that youve lost your connection with (maybe because of a death)—so you reconnect with them by getting inside their clothes, watching their videos, getting in their bed. Youre actually recreating them somehow in order to know them better. You miss them so much you have to become them."

i think their music sneaks up on you. it may not be at first obviously hook-y or catchy but once you listen and start absorbing it seems to absorb you and envelop you and then you are its prisoner, in a good way. the entire album flows and has such a rich, textured and consistent pace. like a well-written novel or film. it is an album for the ages.
