  • this watch doesnt have sapphire crystal it uses flame fusion if i remember correctly why is there even a discussion about sapphire crystal here lol

  • @Ilanactingreel You are right, it doesn't have a sapphire crystal. It is krysterna.

  • @KeepTheTime

Yes i figured. Stuhrling is one fo the only companies to use that. Akribos does too but that is a sister company to stuhrling. I don't get where the whole "sapphire" crystal discussion came from lol

  • @Ilanactingreel lol

  • wow, what camera do you use?

  • @chand36

OMG.... Do a Google search! The "Crystal" is the glass that is over the front and back of the watch. "Jewels" are actually small pieces of lab grown Ruby (Corundum) which is actually the crystal form of Aluminum Oxide. These "Jewels" are used in high wear areas as bearings, like on the gear train and as the pallet forks of the Escapement.

  • @KeepTheTime I just want to know if the sapphire crystal is visable. If it is then I can't find it. And about the 20 jewels, what gemstones are they.

  • @chand36 The crystal is the "glass" piece that covers the dial.. This watch has a crystal on the top and bottom thanks to the "exhibition style case back". The purplish thing you saw is a jewel. This watch has 20 jewels in the movement.
