Second - it's best you drive which-ever car is easiest for you. Example; I used the late-models for boosting my safety rating. Over three days, I turned over 2500 laps at Lanier in the LM cars. Loaded it down with fuel, and ran consistent laps. It's the most boring thing in the world, i suggest listing to music while you do it, if you do it. It was between .09 and .12 SR for each session.
If you want to advance through the ranks quick. First, it's going to take a few days (as in hours). I went from a rookie 2.50 to an A class license in 3 total days. Nothing by time trials, the important thing is you have to turn as many laps as possible without incident. Let me say again, WITHOUT incident. You must complete 4 time trials or 4 race sessions ( any combo ) with the current license you are. Example; C class license, must do C class time trials or races.
Try running Time Trials, you get 0.01 SR for every 10 laps, but you can lose SR for spinning or hitting the wall. Each Time Trial is 28min long, if you run 100 laps in a Time Trial, you can earn 0.10 SR or more
I remember a race from like a week ago where I won since I missed a 10 car pile-up. Yes, that's right, a 10 car pileup. I won by nearly a lap, rofl xD
