These shows were done on a very tight budget, and of course, they were aired live. It's weird when you're on the radio (as Barry was-and still is today-on Sirius/XM) and then transfer that energy to TV. Barry likely was doing a radio show either just before or after the TV show aired. He probably winces when he views this, but in a good way, I hope.

omg! where did you find this? how? didn't he get canned for saying diana ross made him cream his jeans? (I was on the Hecht Co Teen Board, btw, for silver spring. how embarrassing it all was...)

Good thing that Barry was a successful DJ. He stunk as an interviewer. Notice how he repeats almost every answer that the kids offer.
