This video i produced for my friend Tara Norton who´s a pro triathlete from Toronto, Canada. I followed her to Big Island, Hawaii for the world championships in Ironman triathlon. Result is this little documentation with some very individual sights of this amazing sport.
The video i shot with help from a Canon HV20 and the action shots on the bike part with a Canon HV10 on a carbon helmet construction.
I got permission from the organizers of the Ironman event to go with my bicycle on the bike course and there i videotaped with my Canon HV10 on a DIY carbon shell for my helmet the whole race. So i rode during the videotaping on the bike part a average wattage from more than 250 watts. At this speed it´s not so easy to get stable video shots because the roads aren´t as smooth like on Lanzarote. So i used my arms asa suspension system and couldn´t go in aero position.
