When asked about his music, he said, "I never had education in music, I just learned to trust my ears and my feelings." He credits ‘powers beyond himself’ for his music, saying, "This music is not from my mind. It is from heaven, going through my body and out my fingers through composing. Sometimes I wonder. Recently at the 2011 grammys, Kitaro said that he gets inspired to compose and create music for the purpose of WORLD PEACE and helping people find INNER PEACE! It was after hearing that comment, that I went to look up his music. So many beautiful songs that I am familiar with, but had no idea that it was by him, and so many NEW discoveries. In each song, I do find a small part of myself becoming more peaceful! I felt emotions that are truely indescribable!
