My brother drives a 92 and he has NEVER had a problem with it in the 6 years he's been driving it

that is a clean 92 exploder, I have a gold one with 180 k on it, both the caliper pistons prity much exploded and started leaking brake fluid. I dont think iv seen a 92 with OUT the rusted out doglegs, both of mine have rusted as far as they can rust but hell iv taken mine 4 wheeling and it held up OK, oh and the power steering is leaking a hell of a lot on mine from the steering gearbox, other wise nice SUV oh and you get about 10 MPG out of that 4.0 V6

My uncle has a '92 Explorer almost just like this one. only real difference is that my uncle's has 192,104.2 miles. I hope I can get my uncle's when I turn 16 next June. The only major problems my uncle's has is the brakelines are rusted through in some spots, the radio doesn't work and the driver's side front power window motor is out.

I could hear a bit of noise while driving, sounds like a u joint or a wheel bearing. other then that yes it is nice for what it is
