  • Is this from the HD remasters or did you do this? Man I have watched alot of guys work on here. Most are have comment on here already. I have never seen someone make it look like it was straight from the episode. It has this old school TV look to it that is amazing!

  • @PMKTheWon Thank you much! This was all custom work and its nice that the particular flavor of authenticity we're peddling carries over.

  • Love it, not particular fond of the phasers @0:35, the color looks nice, but the texture and size is huge...

  • @CJCA915 Thank you. I was in a rush and in the midst of four other projects. If I could go back to the phasers and revisit them, I would. They'll look better in the series proper.

  • This looks very good, but trying to apply the BSG VFX Style to original trek, would definitely be sacrilege, almost like Star Wars SE.

  • @mikeS8590 The attempt is to go for a look that respects but evolves the original series. While I agree that applying such a style to the Kirk and Spock originals wouldn't be in good taste, this is a different production that has the liberty of respecting but evolving the source material.

  • @mikeS8590 Also, despite the BSG comparisons you notice one thing I DIDN'T animate anywhere in here is the infamous "CG crash zoom", so tied to BSG that I'd dare not repeat it here. There's a slow zoom, but no "BSG crash zoom"... :)

  • People are starving and this is the non-profit idea you came up with?

    hmm

  • WOW!!!

  • Great looking CG work! Wow!

  • This was so damned good. Old school informed with a modern sensibility. I see no sacrilege here...just classic Trek given a touch of the visceral. If the story matches the look of this, I will be beyond thrilled. Bravo!

  • I like it. Just one little niggle. The Excalibur's registration is NCC-1664. Wherever you got NCC-1705 from, that data is flawed majorly.

  • I really liked your melding of the TMP and TOS designs. Very Cool.
