Music will never be the same as it was back in those days. And that's sad...

"Ya ee it on the offramps, ther innercity parks and a dozen places scattred round this town Some are pushin' everything they own In castoff shoppin' carts driftin aimlessly Until the sun goes down Ya take it all for granted cause it never seems to end like the dead cats or the signs along the street Till ya recognize a Homeless guy who last week was a friend dressed in shitstained pants and can't so much as speak" jwf/destitution road/Roadside Business/Catbreth studios Inc.

Was a responsible music lover and tracked down some prior Savoy Brown and Kim Simmonds. Worth every penny. Got the "Savoy Brown Collection," which is roughly from from '68 to '78 and includes this tune, Tell Mamma, Poor Girl and others. But the jewel discovered was a compilation of tunes from 2000-2008. Wow. It's all Simmonds and all good, with some J.L. Hooker, Willie Dixon and old school tunes but a majority of blues inspired stuff written by Simmonds. Really kinda overwhelmed me.

About the original L.P. ending. I have a good friend whom I grew up with. His family lived next door to my family. His Dad was, at the time, a program director for the best radio station in the States; WXRT- Chicago. He brought this home and we were listening to H.B. Train, I'm like 13 yrs old. In the middle of what seemed the the get down and get with it part, it just stops to a dead silence. Shocked the crap out me.
