On the whole, both bands were great. I'm sure Billy respects Kurt's work.

Quoting Corgan when he first heard Teen Spirit in Butch Vig's home: "This is going to change music forever". Actually man, I really don't care. I said that just to tease. The thing is, I prefer Nirvana. When I listen to them I never get bored. The same doesn't happen when I ear SP, and they are very good. But, you know, that's just a matter of personal taste.

@primaryspiral i don't feel the same way. nirvana get a lot of hype just because of their attitude and some "movement" they were supposedly part of, and kurt cobain's suicide. but musically, SP was a lot better.

People hang on to every word spoken by Billy Corgan or Eddie Vedder the same way people hung on and continue to hang on to every word Cobain said (and didn't say). It's sad to think that the idea of who is worshiped is exclusive to the "overrated band". But hey, it's all opinion, so fuck it.
