TIGRAN TOROSYAN, CHAIRMAN OF THE 4TH CONVENING NATIONAL ASSE

Tigran Torosyan has once again been elected as a chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia. At the first session of the 4th convening National Assembly he was the only candidate nominated for the position of a chairman of the National Assembly.
114 deputies have taken part in the secret ballot. 112 parliament members have voted for Tigran Torosyan, 2 have been against.
Torosyan from RPA has been running the National Assembly since June 1, 2006 when he was elected a chairman of the 3rd convening National Assembly.
Vahan Hovhannisyan representing RPA and Ishkhan Zakaryan from PA have been elected as deputy chairmen of the National Assembly by secret ballot. Vahan Hovhannisyan has received 110 in-favor and 2 against votes. 102 deputies have voted in favor of Ishkhan Zakaryan, and 9 have been against his candidacy.
