The worst thing about Sarah Palin is not that she is stupid but that she is arrogant. Here she is, 'explaining' something on which she is completely ignorant, and she still manages to sound condescending and self-satisfied even though the context and the occassion doesn't warrant it. A stupid person who knows they aren't very bright is normal and harmless, but a dumb person who thinks they're smart can be dangerous, especially if they can convince the other dumb people that they're smart.

I like Melissa in her personality but it's too easy to place her as just "smart", whereas she's really a academic cultural purist. I think a lot of what she has to say works in a vacuum but I question whether she really understands the grain of the real world. Therefore, she does have a great future as a pundit for sure.

@travissand Yeah I know his platform. However, politicians don't always stick to the platform after the election. If I was 100% sure on the MJane he would get my vote at least in the primaries. You don't have to convince me about him in the primaries. He's the only republican I currently see that I would vote for. Since I'm Independent I look at the issues every step of the way.
