As much as I loved Pavarotti in ALL that he performed, I don't think I ever heard him like THIS - and this just on a TV program! OMG - I am in ECSTASY! This is MAGNIFICENT. I am so sorry I missed this opera and will see it next time around! Will meanwhile look for a Pacarotti DVD of it. EXQUISITE - thank you so much for posting. The 2 who dislike it ought to enjoy square dancing somewhere.

Anyone know where I can find English lyrics for this Aria?

To those who critisize, you cant br critical unless you can do it better, and if you can why waist your time talking crap? you should probably be preparing your next show. Unless you dont have one coming up in which case your probably not a succful singer, so maybe you cant do it better

@maxlorenz24 Though I think giving an opinion is perfectly fine, I think you are more so showing your ignorance then offending people. I can understand maybe disagreeing with stylistic choices, though I dont know how you hear that. This is gorgeous singing. in any case, there is no arguing that this is quite close to perfect singing! His technique, especially in this time, was superb. It doesnt get much better.

No hay palabras para describir la soberbia magnificencia del Gran Pavarotti.

You're assumption too much. Now everyone is a nancyboy like you! While I do go out quite often, you might want to consider doing the same after pulling your head out of your rear.

Resident proctologist? If you need an exam I would be happy to give you one with my fist ip there...I am sure you'd enjoy that. Funny, not only have I considered a career in singing, I sang with the MET from 88-91 and I have a career as an actor and singer. How would you know what I sound like? Have you ever ventured out of your home?
Just listened to Domingo's rendition of this aria. It was (as expected) very pedestrian as compared to Maestro Pavarotti.

I love listening to Pavarotti sing with just piano because one can hear everything, the pureness of the voice is exposed. He was a singing machine, a technical marvel, and always sung with a natural and pure sound (unlike many of his colleagues)
